Aitta Terms Of Use

Acceptance of Terms
By registering a LUMI User account ("Account") and by using Aitta you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and LUMI Terms of Use, you are granted a non-exclusive right to access and use Aitta in compliance with these Terms and any applicable additional terms, laws and regulations. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not allowed to use Aitta.
Forbidden and Intended Uses
Aitta is purposely used for developing AI enhanced research and development applications. User selects one of the provided AI models, User will provide input to Aitta and will receive output as produced by the AI model. Aitta is not designed for processing any categories of personal or sensitive data and inputting such data to Aitta is prohibited. Sharing any Aitta credentials, including Aitta API keys, is a violation of these Terms and results in immediate termination of access. Users are responsible for making sure that their use of the service is in compliance with laws, including international law, sanctions and other restrictions, and any applicable regulations and all licenses conditions.
Export Controls and Dual‑Use Items
The User must comply with all applicable export control, sanctions, and dual‑use regulations (e.g., the EU Dual‑Use Regulation 2021/821, U.S. Export Administration Regulations, and any other national export controls). The Service may not be used to develop, export, re‑export, or otherwise provide AI models, outputs, or related technology that are listed as controlled dual‑use items or that could be used for prohibited military, weapons, or surveillance purposes. The User shall obtain any required licences or authorisations before exporting or transferring any such items. Violation of export‑control rules constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of access.

Uses falling under the Article 5: Prohibited Practices of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act:
- Subliminal techniques, manipulation, and deception
- Exploiting vulnerabilities
- Biometric categorisation
- Social scoring
- Predictive policing
- Expanding facial recognition databases
- Emotion recognition
- Real-time remote biometrics
- Uses falling under points 1 and 2 of the Article 6: Classification Rules for High-Risk AI Systems of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act
Use of the Application
User are solely responsible for their use of input and output. User represent that they own or have obtained all the required rights to use their input. User retain all the rights, including but not limited to all intellectual property rights in and to their input. User is responsible for the use of the output generated and that it is not used for prohibited practices.
Illegal Content
User has the possibility to report to us any input or output, third-party software or content that are considered illegal by sending email to the address in the Contact section.
Liability
Use of the Services is at the User's own risk, and CSC is not liable for any damages, loss or injury. This also includes but is not limited to damages, loss or injury caused by possible erroneous results.
Indemnity
User shall defend CSC at their own expense from any claim, demand, suit or proceeding made by an any third party against CSC relating to Users use of the services, Users breach of the obligations or restrictions in these terms or from any claims stating that Users' data infringes third parties intellectual property. This obligation to defend CSC is dependent that CSC has promptly notified the User of this situation and that the Users has been given sole control of the defence and settlement (except that User may not settle any claim unless it unconditionally releases CSC of all liability). The afore mentioned Users obligation to defend CSC do not apply if the claim arises from CSC's breach of these terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
CSC does not give any warranty or representation as to the availability, error- or interruption-free operation, or suitability for any purposes (general or particular) of the Service or the models or its output. CSC also does not give any warranty that communications to or from the Service is completely secure. CSC expressly disclaims any such express or implied warranties. Nevertheless, CSC aims to follow IT industry best practice service management and security measures.
Modifications to Terms
CSC reserves the right to change these Terms from time to time. If the User continues to use the Services after the Terms have been amended, the User is deemed to have accepted the amendment.
Modification and Termination of the service
CSC reserves the right to modify or terminate service or part of the service at any time.
Governing Law
The User hereby agrees that all disputes arising out of or in connection with this license shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Finland, expressly excluding the application of its conflict of law provisions. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this license shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Helsinki, Finland.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
